2015.

1.02.2015

I don't know why I always feel compelled to make faces like that. I also don't know why I always feel more compelled to start goals at the beginning of the year, as opposed to the second I realize I need to change something in my life. I mean, in reality, change is impartial to time. Life couldn't really care less if it's January 1st or July 17th. I was lucky to ring in the New Year with some of my closest friends. The kind of people who just inspire you to be better every second you're with them. I've compiled a list of 2015 "To Do's". They are actually more so, "To Become's". I figure resolutions are worthless if they aren't progressing me into becoming a better person. So that's what I'm resoluting (?) to do.

I want to become someone who speaks only kind words.
I want to become someone who is inspired (and inspires others) through film.
I want to become someone who harbors purely positive thoughts.
I want to become someone who flosses every single day. (haha..for real).
I want to become someone who eliminates negative self talk.

I want to become someone who is healthy.
I want to become someone who develops an even greater love and understanding of the sacred temple ordinances.

I want to become someone who serves others more often.
I want to become someone who will one day be a worthy wife and mother to choice children of Heavenly Father.
I want to become more like my Savior.

New Year's Eve from the iPhone

1.01.2012

Heading off to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Getting very hungry and eating all the rolls.
Coming home to celebrate and watch the ball drop with Nathan and my parents. Kissing from 11:59 to 12:01
to end the last year and start the new one perfectly. Drinking Sparkling Red Grape Juice and wearing party hats.
Spending the first hour of the new year watching Friends.

We didn't go to any big parties, but our New Year's Eve was cozy and fun and perfect
and I wouldn't have rather spent it any other way.
Bring it on, 2012!

Kalynn Eve 2011.

1.01.2011

Hello. My name is Kalynn Eve of 2011.
I am the same Kalynn Eve from 2010,
just a few days older, and zero days wiser.
I am a nerd, disguised in appreciation for
things other than writing and literature.
However, I still treasure the two, near and dear
to that palpating thing we call a heart.
I like to sing.
I'm not that great.
But contrary to public opinion,
we are not expected to excel in everything we love.
How would we ever learn?

My resolutions this year include:
ONE: Get a job and become more self sufficient.
TWO: Get to bed earlier on school nights.
THREE: P90X. :) yeah!!
FOUR: Write a thank you note to someone every day.
FIVE: Make new friends.
& more.

And to share the pictures from last night:

Seren: Hitler. Laur: French [wo]man. Kalynn: Crazy person.

cute, cute Lauren.
She's the greatest thing ever.

YUCK, Kalynn. I know. But..whatevs. He looks good.

Some of my favorite girls.

Happy New Year, everyone.
Let's make it a great 2011!!
